Tata Safari EV: A Stylish and Sustainable Leap into the Future
Tata Motors is reshaping the Indian electric vehicle landscape with the upcoming Tata Safari EV, an all-electric avatar of its iconic SUV. Slated for launch in August 2025, this high-performance electric SUV brings together zero-emission driving, modern tech, and the trusted Safari brand legacy — all priced between ₹26–30 lakh (ex-showroom).
Bold Electric Design Meets Comfort
While staying true to the original Safari's commanding design, the EV version boasts a closed front grille, aerodynamic enhancements, and blue EV highlights. Expect LED lighting, sporty alloys, and a distinct road presence. Inside, passengers can enjoy a panoramic sunroof, ambient mood lighting, and premium materials throughout the cabin — making long drives as luxurious as they are green.
Performance Backed by Ziptron Technology
Powered by Tata’s trusted Ziptron platform, the Safari EV is expected to house a 60–70 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of over 500 km. A dual-motor all-wheel drive setup generating 170–200 PS ensures swift acceleration and smooth highway cruising. The fast charging feature—10% to 80% in under 60 minutes—adds practicality for intercity trips.
Tech and Safety Features for Today’s Drivers
The SUV doesn’t compromise on tech. It includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen, JBL sound system, wireless charging, and voice-controlled sunroof. Safety is top-notch too, with ADAS Level 2, six airbags, 360° cameras, and electronic stability control—making it a secure choice for families.
“The Safari EV is more than an electric SUV. It’s a bold statement about sustainable luxury and Indian engineering,” said a senior Tata Motors spokesperson.
Why It Matters
Facing rivals like the Mahindra XUV.e8, MG ZS EV, and BYD Atto 3, the Tata Safari EV stands out with its space, style, and homegrown technology. As India pushes toward cleaner mobility, the Safari EV positions itself as the premium yet practical choice for EV adopters.
