The last week of July 2025 has injected fresh excitement into India’s smartphone landscape, as internationally recognized brands unveiled device after device in a fierce fight for consumer attention.
Major New Entries Hit Indian Shelves
On July 25, Infinix officially launched the budget-friendly Smart 10, aiming squarely at first-time buyers and students. Though its price was only finalized late in the week, retail listings show a competitive ₹6,799 tag for the 4GB/64GB model, available in four vibrant shades. Flipkart and partner retailers will commence sales from August 2. The device features a Unisoc T7250 chipset, Android 15 with XOS 15.1, a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate, 700 nits of brightness, and both rear and front 8MP cameras. Notably, the Smart 10 includes reverse wired charging and is dust and splash resistant (IP64-rated), with storage expansion up to 2TB—a nod to growing Indian data needs.
Meanwhile, Realme drew crowds with the unveiling of the 15 Pro 5G. Officially available from July 24, the mid-tier device (starting at ₹31,999 for 8GB/128GB) is armed with AI-powered photography and editing tools. Its 7000mAh “Titan” battery, Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, and 50MP dual rear camera make it a compelling rival in the ₹30,000–36,000 market.
The iQOO Z10R, launched July 24 and on sale July 29, marks iQOO’s continued push into the value-vlogging space. With prices beginning at ₹19,499, the Z10R boasts a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 SoC, 6.77-inch quad-curved AMOLED display, and ‘military-grade’ durability (IP68/IP69, shock resistant). The camera setup shines with dual 50MP Sony sensors, catering to creators.
Rounding out the week’s launches was the OnePlus Pad Lite tablet, entering the market at ₹14,999 for WiFi-only and ₹15,999 for WiFi + LTE models. Featuring an 11-inch display, Hi-Res quad speakers, 9,340mAh battery, and fast-charging, the Pad Lite targets students and young professionals. Open sales begin August 1 through online and physical channels nationwide.
Brand Statements: Competition Heats Up
An Infinix spokesperson said: “The Smart 10 sets new standards for affordable innovation in India. Our aim is to empower even first-time smartphone users to enjoy high-refresh displays, robust durability, and AI-powered features without breaking the bank.” Realme’s marketing team dubbed the 15 series “the AI Party Phone,” banking on its multi-tasking and battery life. Meanwhile, OnePlus’s country head called Pad Lite “the ultimate portable entertainment hub for digital-first Indian youth.”
