Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann’s Meeting: What Was Discussed? Mann Reveals Details

A Crucial Meeting Amid Speculations

Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener Arvind Kejriwal met Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann on Tuesday at the Kapoorthala House in Delhi. This meeting came at a time when there were rising speculations about internal discord within AAP, especially after the party’s disappointing performance in the recent Delhi Assembly elections. Many reports suggested that Kejriwal was considering removing Mann from his position as Punjab CM.

However, Mann himself has now come forward to clear the air, revealing the actual purpose of the meeting and shutting down all rumors of internal conflicts.

What Was Discussed in the Meeting?

According to Bhagwant Mann, the meeting was not about leadership changes but was convened to thank AAP leaders and discuss Punjab’s developmental roadmap. Mann stated, “Arvind Kejriwal met with all Punjab MLAs to express his gratitude for their efforts in Delhi’s election campaign. He wanted to personally acknowledge their hard work. We also discussed the future of Punjab’s development in key sectors like education, healthcare, electricity, and infrastructure.”

This clarification has put an end to speculations regarding Kejriwal’s alleged dissatisfaction with Mann’s leadership in Punjab.

Kejriwal’s Message: Stay United & Focus on Punjab’s Future

During the meeting, Arvind Kejriwal urged all party leaders and workers to stay united. He emphasized that despite the recent electoral setback in Delhi, AAP’s core mission remains unchanged—working for the welfare of the people.

Kejriwal also directed Punjab AAP leaders to focus on the upcoming state elections in 2027. He advised them to begin preparations early and strengthen grassroots connections to ensure another victory in Punjab.

“Our party has always been about the people. We need to reinforce our efforts and make Punjab a model state. I will personally dedicate more time to Punjab’s development,” Kejriwal assured.

Political Defeats Are Temporary: Bhagwant Mann

Addressing party workers, CM Bhagwant Mann reminded them that politics is a journey filled with victories and defeats. He shared his own experience of losing elections in 2012 but later becoming an MP twice and ultimately the Chief Minister of Punjab. “We must remain committed to our promises to the people. Political setbacks are temporary; our goal should be long-term governance with integrity,” he said.

Congress’ Claims Dismissed by Mann

Apart from dispelling leadership rumors, Mann also responded to claims made by Punjab Congress leader Pratap Singh Bajwa. Bajwa had alleged that over 30 AAP MLAs from Punjab were in talks with Congress and could switch sides soon.

Mann dismissed these claims, saying, “Bajwa has been making such statements repeatedly, but they hold no truth. Instead of counting our MLAs, he should focus on his own party’s situation in Delhi.”

Mann asserted that AAP leaders remain dedicated to their mission and are not lured by political opportunism.

Future Course for AAP in Punjab

With this meeting, AAP has reaffirmed its unity and determination to govern Punjab effectively. The party is now shifting its focus toward governance and delivering on promises made during the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections.

AAP leaders have also indicated that Kejriwal will be more involved in Punjab’s affairs, which could help strengthen the party’s position ahead of the 2027 elections.

This meeting and Mann’s clarifications have effectively quashed the rumors of internal discord, proving that AAP remains focused on its governance agenda despite recent challenges.

Conclusion

The high-profile meeting between Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann was not about leadership changes, as speculated, but rather about strengthening party unity and discussing Punjab’s development. With a clear roadmap for the future and renewed commitment from its leaders, AAP is gearing up to make Punjab a model state in the coming years.
